Try such search terms as "fitness" for physical conditioning, and "predeployment training" to find out once will be done when you get to that stage (and may want to focus on in unit training opportunities to be better prepared).

Oh, and this post should help - http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/2088/post-73040.html#msg73040

You can also look at the army physical fitness manual, Crossfit is another good place to go.  (www.crossfit.com)

The best advice I can give as a reservist for work up training is this. It may sound odd but make sure you can do telephone banking so you can keep up to date while your in Pet. Next find all of your kit as you will need to bring everything and make sure it is clean, marked and serviceable. Do not let the B.O.R slack off with regards to your paper work and get a passport now. I say get a pass port because if you use a Govt one they will want it back after the tour. And as for PT. Practice what you will be doing i.e running, ruck sac marching and upper and lower body strength training. And of course if you have close family or a significant other look into a long distance plan for while you are in Pet or you may end up blowing all that class 'C' pay.

Cheers.
