Hello everyone,
Long story short my family has a huge military history in the Air force. So I thought id take a look at some of the options. After reading every fact sheet and video on Air force trades on the Forces website Ive found three careers that seem very interesting to me.
1. Air Weapon Systems Tech.  2. Aviation Systems Tech.  3. Airborne Electronic Sensor Operator.

I know quite abit about what each one of them do, but there is a few things I don't know that id like to find out.
1. Do any of these trades offer specialist pay?
2. Which is in highest demand and which is in lowest?
3. If i got a Community College degree in Aviation systems would i become a Corporal after i complete BMQ because a recruiter on the forces website he thinks i would but wasn't 100% sure.
4. I live in Halifax do any of these trades operate out of here?
5.  Which job do you recommend personally for a guy who loves technology, is great at math and physics, but wants to get out there as well.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this.  Also if anyone is employed in one of these trades can you give me some pointers.

All of them.

I dont know th answer but shouldnt yo be more worried about chosing a trade you like rather than one thats in demand ?

I dont know but i doubt you would for AES Op.

4. I live in Halifax do any of these trades operate out of here?

All 3 do but one should not expect to stay in the city where you are from.

Thanks you were a huge help:)  Im still not sure which one i should choose maybe i should research them more

The best chance of getting yourself on the coast would be to go AES Op, but it's just as likely that you could end up on the west coast as well.  And even if you did end up going back to Halifax after the extensive training you would go through, there is no guarantee that you would stay there.  You could end up moving elsewhere at pretty much any time.

If you were to select AWS Tech, I could pretty much guarantee you wouldn't be heading to Halifax as your first posting (not much for stores to load out there right now).

You won't use much math/physics as an AWS Tech or AVN Tech if you're working on aircraft, I couldn't speak to AES Op.

I might want to become a flight engineer so i might become a AVN Tech. But at the same time AESop seems like a good trade to get into right now and as a bonus most of them operate out of Nova Scotia.
