Airforce Courses List

Are you referring to Air Force trades? If so your best bet would be to go to the Recruiting Website. if you are referring to the different courses you can get while your in the Air Force, well they are job and rank dependent and too numerous to list.

I was hoping to make a list similar to this:

For the airforce instead of the army.

The reason I ask is because myself and another OJTer were talking about what course we might be able to take while waiting for Moose Jaw. We came up with the usual; AMT, SERE, Sea survival. We thought of a few more such as first aid, pistol course, 404's. He mention that another OJTer at a TacHel sqn was able to get on LOFT, which I'm not sure that we can get on, but this got us wondering what other course we could take that we don't know about. So I thought a list would be handy and I'm sure there are others that wouldn't mind a list to refer to. I do agree it is a little bit of work, it's to bad this isn't a list on the DIN.

There is a list on the DIN, but you will not have access to it.  You need to talk to your Training Cell and have someone with access to MITE look up what courses are scheduled and where.  Upcoming courses are often given out during morning briefings/'O' Groups.  That is where most people will find out and submit their names for consideration.

You might be able to get a Basic Electronic Warfare course, they are run out of CFSAS in Winnipeg, there is a course schedule on the DIN.

Just to add, the BEW course is available in-house at CFSAS or you can do it Distance Learning, which I how I did it.  My serial ran from early Nov 07 to 31 Jan 08.  While there are 3 months alloted for the course, you could probably bang it off in a month (or less) if you really wanted to.  I did mine while doing OPMEs at the same time.

Brian_k, if you want, you can PM me you @forces.gc.ca email address and I can send you the link/info for BEW, if you aren't sure/able to find CFSAS on the 17 Wing IntraNet site.

Or you can just got to CFSAS for a week, drink every night, fail to open the course study book for the duration of the course, have the student next to you complain that you sleep in class and smell of liquor and then complain that you got a better final mark than he did.....

It's happenned.....trust me

>:D

I think I know which course I am going to take. :)

Just so you dont have the wrong impression, i could afford to be drunk the entire time because EW was nothing new to me at the time. The other students on course did not manage so well. IIRC, 7 people failed the course ( and those are the people who studied like mad and rarely left their room).

You have been warned.

Let me guess that was you?

There's also the NBC School in Borden, they have a course schedule on the DIN. You could learn to be a Unit Radiation Safety Officer, NBC Instructor, etc...

[EDIT] Or if you're fit and lucky enough, there's Basic Para at Trenton
