Can the recruiting center schedule the interview if the aptitude test was already scheduled but is up coming ?

The interview can be scheduled for anytime after the aptitude test.  It can be on the same day or even the next week but must always be after the test because you must pass the test to continue with the other processing.

When I was in the recruiting process, my recruiter said that we had to pass the CFAT, medical and PT test before they would do the interview. Is this just a preference my recruiting center had?

As long as the interview is after the CFAT it can be done at anytime during the process.

to be more specific:

In August 2005, I applied to become a military lawyer. Because I have a degree in law, I didn't have to do the aptitude test.

In november, I added a second choice: officer in the infantry. Because of the nature of this position and that no degree can prepare you for it, I have to do the aptitude test for this position.

Recruiter scheduled the aptitude test for january 9th. No matter what happens with the aptitude test for the position of officer in the infantry, an interview will have to be scheduled for the lawyer position.

Therefore, my question is: can an interview be scheduled right now before taking the aptitude test ?

Thanks.

Dear lord, like Kincanucks has mentioned a billion times now it has to be AFTER the interview. it can be 2 seconds AFTER or it can be 2 years AFTER as long as it is AFTER. So would it not make sense that an interview can be scheduled  now as long as it is AFTER the aptitude test? seems like simple logic to me and something that someone with a degree in law should be able to figure out themselves. Cheers

jesus boss, you have a law degree and you can't figure the recruiter's message that your interview is ALWAYS AFTER your aptitude test?

Well, as a response to the two last replies:

For the lawyer position, I don't need the aptitude test because I have a bachelor degree in law. That means that if it was not for my second choice, officer/infantry, I could be scheduled right away for the interview.

It is only because of that second choice that I have to take the aptitude test...and that was explained with surgeon precision in my last reply.

Now, again, and try to read this slowly the last two fine individuals who replied to my reply, can I schedule right now the interview since anyway I have the right for it because of my first choice, military lawyer, which doesn't demand that I do an aptitude test ?

...unbelievable these two...

You will only have 1 interview for all of the trades you have chosen, so you must have your interview AFTER your cfat. Just do the bloody aptitude test, i'm sure you wont have any trouble.

Um, I know I've only got a high school diploma, and i'm probably a dumbass, but if I didn't know any better, I'd figure you were asking about AN INTERVIEW BEFORE THE APTITUDE TEST! *rips hair out and runs screaming skyclad into the streets shrieking like a banshee*

But all that aside, just do as Spazz suggested. Write the test. It's pretty easy, and its only a couple hours out of your day.

As your situation is different from the normal ones you can actually be scheduled for your interview before the aptitude test for the your second choice.  However, you don't schedule anything and if the CFRC/D decides to do the interview for the lawyer choice after the CFAT in order not to have to do two interviews then they can do so.  Christ my head hurts.
