Army Reserve Restructuring

So it's essentially the same as the Territorial Battalion Groups that we have now.
Yes, and no. CARBS will be larger then the TBG's. As well in practice the TBG's only ever fielded a coy regularly, the CARB is designed to deploy as a formation. The term the CDS, and the army commander are using is "they don't want a reserve army, they want an army in reserve.", the CARBS wont be as ad hoc in nature compared to the TBGs, as the end goal is the CARBs be able to deploy in support of the Manuver div over sea's if needed. Domestically by 2040 the Ares will fully take over DOMOP from the regular force, thus why the CARBs will be bigger.

Is there talk of the personal support services that ill be required to be that Army in reserve ? I.e. job protection ?

Is there a requirement that the proposed Res F battalions each be fitted into one building or onto a single contiguous city block somewhere?

Infrastructure for the reserves is guided by a policy called the Army Reserves Scale of Accomodation, which details how much training space/classrooms/etc a reserve establishment is entitled to. This combined with the Army Reserve Establishment and the workplace 2.0 office guidelines will determine how much space a unit gets in a new building.

However if the army reserve is going to triple in size, thats a huge factor for infrastructure because no unit can handle that right now

Right; the point of the (rhetorical) question is to highlight that whatever personnel and equipment a CARB is established to hold, it doesn't need to all be shoehorned into one early twentieth-century edifice on a small footprint.

That is why ADM(IE) and DLR have initiated an Army Reserve Infrastructure review and are looking to begin constructing/purchasing new facilities as early as FY 26/27.

Yes. A CARB building will be built around the entitlements set out in those documents. 10 m2 office space for the CO, 4.5m 2 work station for most employees, break rooms, kitchen space, classrooms, parade grounds, etc. It's all in those documents. I never said we had to shoehorn anything into an early 20th century building.

Talking to my DCO, we essentially told the army for the growth they want, we need an entire armoury the size of Debney in Edmonton just for us.

I know they are working on it here as well but brigade level in the high density geographic location. We did an initial wish list and unit allocations etc. Where that goes, we’ll see but it is looking promising.

Some solutions will need work. Others are easy no brainers.

You didn't. There was an earlier reference to what I take to be the Bay St building in Victoria.
