Time machine goals might be a while off still...

But you're always welcome to move here to Alberta! No tangible gun ban here.

(Like as a Plan B, if time machine doesn't work out...)
No he needs a Time Machine, the correction of a major TacHel debacle is at stake.

I thought that it’s since been amended and any NCO who is qualified on the C22 can instruct the C22. Therefore there is no need for the C22 instructor crse or new pers to be qualified that.

If you have DWAN/ACIMS access the document laying out the revised C22 training requirements is titled “Update to Interim Training Authority- C22 Modular Full Frame Pistol (C22 MFFP)”.
A search should find it for you, it was issued by Comd CTC on 12 April 2024.

It stipulates that anyone qualified to instruct a military lesson and qualified to operate the C22, is qualified to instruct on the pistol.

If I had a time machine, I would do a lot more than buy a pistol.

Ah good, so we’ve moved past the awkward Sgt with ASA can teach any foreign weapon but not the C22 stage.

I worked at FN for 18 months - in 2015-16, I can guarantee you that the issues of the BHP was a major discussion point every time I traveled to Herstal and the Browning BD folks where uninterested in bringing it back -- there where guns being assembled in Portugal from older parts, (most said made in Belgium assembled in Portugal. When it came to talking about reintroducing the BHP Herstal just kept shrugging there shoulders, and looking at Browning.

There were a number of FN Herstal BHP's in FN America vaults that had the safety modified to drop the hammer when applied, and recock the hammer when removed. It was a little alarming to use for a regular BHP guy.

Interesting, I know that the Pistol Design team was working on a "Metal Frame Pistol" a la BHP, but Browning had been uninterested in allowed FN America to use the BHP nomenclature -- glad they managed to turn it around.

I'm going to need to get a buddy at FN to hook me up for one.
Didn't the Turks make a BHP clone?

Yes, ASA now includes C22.

Well I’d hope so lol. I just meant the previous policy was not instructing C22 unless C22 instructor which was a separate qual - even though ASA teaches you to teach foreign weapons for which we have no Pam.
