Brother criminal record

Hello everyone,
My brother is a criminal, but I have the opposite character. I am interested in joining the Air Force, and I have been interested since my childhood. Now, I am finally eligible to join (I have finished university). However, would my brother being a criminal cause any problems?

Association with criminals can be a hurdle during security clearance. Best way over that hurdle is being honest about it,

Depends on the crime and severity of it, and whether you had any involvement with his crimes (I'm assuming not).
They will check, either way but as long as you were not involved, then you should be good. Ik someone whose brother has committed several offences and charges during their upbringing, but that member still made it in! He wasn't involved in any of the crimes ofc.
