Canadian Dismounted Infantry Capability Enhancement (DICE) programme

Kind of nuts to think the Australian soldier has more or less been equipped like this for the better part of a decade if not longer.

Is that a SA80 in the second pic? If so... dang, you win some and you lose some I guess.

Nah, one of the coolest looking rifles ever made, the Steyr AUG.
Yes the AusSteyr F88 (or now EF for EnhancedF88) and the fact that all the Aussie SOF use either C8's or Hk416's...
Typically useless bullpup

But while the Aussie GPF have a total cluster of a rifle - they have tried to address it's issues a number of times
- but they seem to have done a decent job in equipping their soldiers

Sure it may suck but it's in Call of Duty MW2 and Die Hard so it'll forever be one of my favourite rifles. 😂

Anybody else think that Coyote Brown looks a lot like khaki circa 1937?

Honestly it doesn't friggin matter what Gen it is. Does it work the way you need it to? Yes or no.

And if I've learned anything on these boards since 2007, when it comes to load carrying, rucksacks and boots NOTHING is ever good enough for the army. Always something to bitch about because it doesn't do X, Y, Z the way I want it to.

Almost as though we have been issued an utterly unacceptable set of load bearing kit since 2007, and have watch the multiple projects to replace with either and die. We don’t even have a workable IFAK pouch on the tac vest, hell it doesn’t hold our issued grenades.

I’m curious to see if the DICE stuff will feature a dedicated IFAK pouch.
I don’t remember the ISSP vests, Gen 1 or 2 having one but I may be misremembering.

Honestly since 1964, but that’s just me.
