I guess that, by the look of things, the UAV selected by the CF is no longer an issue.

Hmmm....
I think that the Cdn HLVW heavy use is a bit of overkill.  As the Shadow launcher shows, you don't need a 10 ton to carry the launcher, a 10 ton to lift the TUAV, a 10 ton to recover the darned thing afterwards.... though I do not begrudge them the 10 ton CP to operate the TUAV from.

WRT the alternative means to recover the TUAV, the parachute system appeals to me in that you do not always have a decent road upon which you can deposit your load....

BUT - it works well enough

what other choice do they have?  a LS or ML, both have there draw backs; and the HL is the only one of the three that can go outside the wire.  But as for the CP IMO the ML could do the job.

uhhh.... we could do like our friends and buy us a bunch of hummers.... lord knows the JTF2 bought a bunch. No reason you couldn't do the same for 5 RALC and their birds.
