I'm putting this up because:

1)  The Canucks Rule

2)  Trevor Linden is my favorite of all time as well.

It's nice to see that Trevor and the organization are all stand-up guys.

+1!
Regardless of the fact that I don't cheer for the Canucks, that was one stand-up thing they did.

+2!
I LOVE the Canucks and Trevor Linden ROCKS! And this story ROCKS!

I have been a fan of this team since 1972 and have always admired the way Trevor Linden and others have cared for the fans as well as their team mates.  Trevor has always part of Vancouver even when he was traded.  I have the same McFarlane toy and many other Canuck memorabilia. Go Canucks Go!

It was an incredibly classy act on the Canucks part....

Are you paying attention Toronto Sports Network?????

Great story.  Truly a class act.

Buffalo is still a better team though!!!!  >:D

I saw this a while ago while watching a Vancouver Canucks game (My favourite team) about a Soldier and his Trevor Linden McFarlane figure, (My favourite player, ever.)

It was kind of a cool story and I thought people here might like to see it.

A Soldier's Story

As it turns out he sent an email to Trevor Linden and the Canucks and the Canucks flew him out from Edmonton to meet Trevor and watch the game.

I'm not sure if this would be the right place to post it, maybe it deserves to be in radio chatter. But I thought it might be worth posting.

Nice for him!

Why do I get the feeling that a female soldier with a toy (barbie or
stuffed animal) wouldn't have been treat the same way?

Men always have boys inside them ;)

Crap, sorry I must have forgot to search. Accidentally put up a topic, sorry about that.

Thanks for merging the post with this thread.

Just like elephants?  ;D

Incidentally, it's a good thing he didn't have a Maple Leafs lucky charm with him...
I can only fathom what would have happened to him.  ;)

...would never be able to drink from a 'cup' ever again??
