Current State of these officer and NCM trades (DEO entry rank, promotion rate, training backlog)

I would like to know the current state of these trades. Are they in demand? Is there a huge training backlog? What is the rate of promotion? At what rank can a DEO enter (Lieutenant?) ?

OFFICER:

Pilot

Elect/Mech Eng Officer (career goal of further nuclear training)

Aerospace Engineer Officer

Naval Warfare Officer

Engineer Officer


NCM:

Aviation Systems Technician

Electrical Generation Systems Technician

Military Police

For context, I am 28, a chemical engineering major grad, and will be a registered engineer in a few months. Also, based in Québec but open to moving. I will likely only join full time as a pilot, or elect/mech eng officer if the rank is high enough to be a competitive pay.

Pilot is closed until the next fiscal year.


Reg F military police requires a police foundations diploma before joining. PRes MP does not but they do not carry badges or do policing (in patrol dress and police cars) the way Reg F MPs would.



As a DEO you would enter as an OCdt during BMOq, but likely get paid as a 2Lt during BMOQ. Get promoted to 2Lt officially after grad, and then a year or 2 later be promoted to Lt.
