Danner Acadia's

Are Danner Acadia's a solid choice for a summer combat boot? Just from looking at them.. vibram soles.. speed lacing.. full gortex 100% waterproof, AND they're non-insulated so they're a good choice for summer.

I just want a boot for the summer that is waterproof and well ventilated with a solid sole on it.

Great boots if you are willing to spend the money.  You can't go wrong with Danner.  But I will say this.  I own several pairs of Danners, and right now, while on duty, I am wearing Magnum Stealth's.  Infinitely lighter than any boot I have come across so far, and due to the fact that they are NOT waterproof, way more breathable.  Plus they dry out faster.  I carry a set of Goretex socks for when it gets really wet.

Definitely my favorite boot I wear the Acadia insulated even in summer and don't find them too hot.One point though they don't have "speed lacing" but if you use the 84" laces you can get the boots off without having the laces come out of the eyelets.At almost $300 a pair their not cheap but they last a long time ,well worth the cash.
