I am considering buying one of these jackets, but do not know anyone who owns one.  Any comments or reviews on them?

I haven't used the fleece liner, but I do have experience with the Dropzone Squeeze Me liner(bought from Farmboy at oneshottactical).Very warm and very well constructed. The only downsides to Dropzone products is the price and the addiction to non-issue kit that they cause.
Now that all the gratuitous bum kissing is out of the way,I wouldn't bother paying the money for the fleece. The issued fleece(lord strike, me down!)does just as good as a job as any,is free, and soon will be issued to everybody in CADPAT.Also if they ever come out with a official dress policy on wearing the fleece on the outside, you might end up with a 200 dollar white elephant. If it's for non military use,you would never go wrong with a dropzone product. As mentioned above, the quality can't be beat.
My advice would be to save your money and invest in a Dropzone smock or squeeze me,or if you can find one cheaper,a snugpak shirt or jacket liner.
But after all, that's my 2 cents

BigBadJohn,

If you are looking for a traditional fleece, none is better than ours. State of Gerorgia Swat, Washington county Sheriff's Dept. and Eugene Oregon PD, issue them. CadPat is a non-starter right now, I do not anticipate it being available though us as the only fleece mill that made it available to me is now out of business.

Lots of testimonials available on Lighfighter.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards

Brian I have heard good things about them.  As I am not in the Canadian Forces CadPat is not what I am looking for.  When I am out in the field observing an excercise I am no longer wearing a uniform and I wanted something warm so...  I just wanted some reviews first.

I bit the bullet and ordered one.  I am looking forward to seeing the quality for myself!  Great service on the phone.  Wonderful prices too, not that expensive for gucci kit.

I have one, have had it for about 7 years now. Its well constructed, huge pit zips, great pocket design, the epaulets are capabale of dragging a man (almost went down an ugly cliff, they prob saved me from some grevious and unpleasant bodily harm). The small arm pocket holds a pack of smokes or a silva style compass perfectly. It was replaced for army usage by the new issued cadpat fleece jackets, but still sees plenty of the outdoors on hiking and camping trips.

I received my jacket today and it looks and feels like a fine piece of kit.  I am very happy with the purchase. (smug smile)
