Electrical Distribution Technician ( EDT )

I'm extremely  interested in joining the armed forces as an EDT, my concern is that I'm already a working 3rd year apprentice and I'm worried about losing all my trade time in the event I don't want serve past the initial service time

I'm looking to OT to ED Tech, does this trade get specialist pay? (I didn't see it on the spec pay list when I looked it up, but I want to confirm)

Do you get any other additional pay, i.e. land duty allowances, etc.?

An ED Tech posted to a CER or to 4 ESR gets LDA, but other postings do not.
