Honestly I think it’s more that the standards across the franchises aren’t been checked. Some of the CB’s are still very good, but it is no longer a reliable place at several.
From slower and poorer (and sometimes downright rude) service, to burned or cool and dried out biscuits and other foods that are no longer a reliable option.
Frankly COVID really took a bite out of the food industry, service declined and food quality dropped dramatically across nearly all restaurants, outside of dedicated family owned one of’s, or high end expensive places (and some of those tanked too). It’s like everything went into decline and no one had fixed it.
