Two Su-27 fighter jets of the Russian Knights aerobatics team have crashed during a final rehearsal ahead of the MAKS 2009 Air Show in the Moscow region. The squadron leader died in the collision.
"Col. Igor Tkachenko", said that he thought all fighter jet pilots should go through both aerobatic training and combat training like they do there (video reference: 1:59 to 2:40 of 4:53). Was he referring to fighter jet pilots on a global scale or just their own Russian fighter jet pilots?
Do the Canadian fighter pilots do both aerobatic training in addition to their combat training or is it primarily Canada's Snowbirds who do the jet aerobatics? Just curious.
