I'm looking for some advice in regards to these two positions. It's been a bit difficult for me to find someone that could help in terms of information regarding these two.
I have a background in GIS from my education but I have a heavy interest in field work and I've been very interested in using UAV's for surveying/GIS purposes. I'm looking for a trade that is more in line with this. I've seen that DS tech might be more in line with this, but I wanted to know if Geomatics Technician would also have some field work.
Additionally I've seen a video that showed that DS techs continue their combat training regularly. Do Geo techs also continue their combat training outside of soldier qualifications when deployed?
