I have or have been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. I believe that I was mis-diagnosed. Right now I am required to take medication. I am wondering if it is a waste of time for me to apply. I am 28 and not getting any younger.

Thats a question best asked of a recruiter at your local CFRC (Recruiting Centre) or Reserve Unit.

Try searching the recruiting portion of this website to see if there is anything, but in leu of that - I'd call up the local CFRC and ask them.

You won't know until you ask, but as was stated your best course of action is to contact your nearest CFRC.

I have known people with bi-polar disorder who did get in. But they had to get a note stating that they were fine. I know certain trades, like ammo tech, will not let you in if you have a mental illness no matter how fine you are.

I can't see it myself, but then I'm not part of the CF recruiting medical staff. Neither is anyone here. No one can make that medical determination over the internet, and we're not going to brave those waters here.

As with all recruiting medical questions, the only ones that can answer them are at the CFRC. You'll have to talk to them.

Good luck
