In addition to Univ. degree will previous trades training be looked at as well?

I've applied for DEO and in addition to my univ. degree I have a BCIT diploma in Aircraft Maintenance.  I know that a degree is pretty much a prerequisite for DEO but will my BCIT diploma be taken into consideration  when determining my competitiveness?  Thanks.

You're probably looking for some sorta boost that a long answer might provide, but the short and simple response to your question is:  Of course!  A qualification is a qualification.

Everything is looked at.  The weight given to additional education/qualifications would depend on relevance to the occupation you want.  Something as simple as a MS Officer certificate could make the difference between you and someone otherwise similarly qualified.
