The CAF is different and does things differently for a few reasons.
1. The CAF wants to generate interest, so they post a lot of routine things. Nobody wants to watch Day & Ross trial a new system, but lots of people want to see the CAF do basic things.
2. The CAF has procurement processes that mean they need to ensure things work together, because unlike Day & Ross, the CAF can't just buy an off-the-shelf solution the next day if they have issues with a new system.
3. The CAF doesn't make money from shipping rocket pods, so there is less push to get things done fast, so it can make money. Businesses need things done fast, because fast makes them money.
4. "Standardized" doesn't necessarily mean it all works together. It means it should... but should and does aren't the same.
