Informing the Army’s Future Structure

No. A BN of 700 needs to be trained soldiers.
Nope. "Battalion" is a battalion regardless. "Trained" is merely an adjective.
So 100k (if all Army) might yield 80k trained, but you'll need a solid 10k or so to train and manage the pers production pipeline, so you have 70K to play with.
Al this speculation makes no sense until someone in government or at the highest level of the CAF and the CA explains what the outputs of these 100k primary reservists is supposed to be. Everything falls from that. How much it will cost. How much training they'll do. How much equipment they get. Everything!

Until that happens we're just all traipsing through speculative bullshit.
There is zero readiness if there is zero commitment in terms of a contractual/ financial obligation.

You get what you pay for, especially in the ARes world.
Bingo! And there's a world of a difference between a fully trained and equipped ABCT or MBCT or even an IBCT and just 5,000 guys that come out once a year in coveralls for five days to qualify on the rifle.
