Whatever a COCT is, does this thread have anything to do with your other thread?

OP: SIGHTI
One IC on member's PERS are there serious career implications? can it be removed

If a member has one IC on record, but corrects deficiency and let's say 1-3 years pass with no other remedial measures plus consistent good behaviour moving forward can that "initial counsel" (IC) have  serious career implications and can it be removed after sometime? I know the policy states its permanent but? ... I'm thinking there might be a an appeal process to have it removed ... any thoughts? ... given it is minor like a couple late incidents?

Sorry I should have been more specific with the question I might have worded it poorly "One IC on member's PERS file (Personal File) are there serious career implications? can it be removed?".  I meant Personal File as opposed to PER

No it has nothing to do with the IC one, I posted a similar thread on the Admin section by mistake I'm trying to delete it.

If you're talking about a compulsory OT, then it might depend on the reasons for the OT in the first place. There are many forms of compulsory OT, for example:

- two trades are amalgamated and everyone is OT'd to the new MOC;
- your MOC structure demands that as you advance you change trades (ie: Med Tech to PA);
- you fail to meet the occupational requirements of your current trade and are reassigned to another (ie: course failure, medical)

These are some examples, and each of the ones above are likely permanent.

No it's not a compulsory Occupational transfer either, from my understanding it's like a swipe when you make a mistake in Basic training the sgt says it doesn't follow the member to the next unit once he's/she's done his/her common core enhanced CCE and QL3's, but it stays at the school CFSATE, I was wondering does it permanently stay at the school CFSATE or do they shred it after a while?

Stuff like that stays on your student record, which gets archived when you leave the school. After a certain amount of time, the file is destroyed. I somewhat remember CFSCE keeps them for 5 years.

5 years sounds right.  Might be in the MMHRP, or could be Command/TE specific orders.

Not slagging... but instead of relying on everyone to understand the acronym, perhaps next time some amplifying information might clarify your request.

No idea whether it comes off your student record or not, but rest assured, no one is digging into your basic training files looking mistakes you made as a recruit. Especially since the next time you'll be at the school will likely be your ILP WO's course.
