Is Infantry a Waste of Time During Peacetime?
My mistake, I mean what is the most 'fun' thing that you do 'most of the time', or does no such thing exist?Paint rocks? ( If one considers that "funny" and "normal". )

I don't know if they actually do paint rocks. Just something I read on the internet.

Leading soldiers, mentoring subordinates, counseling the wayward and getting them on the right path. Learning how to do that.

You're starting to get the picture
Honestly there are tons of cool opportunities to do in the infantry during peace time. Close protection details, door gunners, cool courses, small scale deployments here & there to keep things interesting, large and small exercises, etc
The military will also help open some doors that may not open so easily otherwise.
You'll definitely get some unique experiences in the military that you can't get anywhere else, even during peace time
