Joe Rogan and Pierre Poilievre interview

Even Toronto Star columnists had good things to say.

Poilievre on Bloomberg

Add to Poilievre in New York, on Rogan, in Germany, in London, at Runnymede, on Mansbridge, in Toronto...

Refreshing listening to someone give direct answers without endless uhhh uhh uhh ummmm uhhh endless hand waving uhh uhh uhh between world salads of non answers.
This feels a bit gratuitous. When you get to the endzone, try and look like you have been there before. Graciousness is a useful skill, or so I have been told.

Absolutely, he has confidence in the truthfulness of what he says, he is very direct and on point. Carney seems to fumble alot when Brookfield or some other company is making out like bandits from his decisions.

Pierre does it again, well done!
I'm about 45mins into the interview.

I have alot more respect for him as an individual after the first 45mins that I've watched so far. Had a childhood/upbringing that was certainly not 'typical' and made absolutely the most out of it it seems.

For the first time over the last 4-5yrs I can say that he has been able to connect with me on some of the issues that the first 45mins have covered - his explanation of the housing issues facing Canada I thought was spot on.

I will finish the rest of the interview maybe tonight/tomorrow. I am hopeful that he's able to continue to impress me.

Thank you for posting the interview, much appreciated.

Same dude he has always been. Just presented differently. I admit Jenni Byrne did him no favours. Now, go back and look at the lesser known CANADIAN podcast interviews he did during the election 2025 campaign, same style, same Pierre. However many in this nation were rabid with TDS and bought the MSM slander campaign against Pierre.

Sometimes a few more years of 'aging', 'maturity' and 'life lessons' is all a person needs. It might simply be the case that he needs a few more year to 'age into' the role/position.

Ummm, thats not it all. He is the same guy as a year ago. He is in his mid 40s. Just admit you all fell for the psy ops campaign

Remember, I posted on here that I voted for the Conservative candidate in my riding because the Liberal MP for me is a bag of hammers.

I have said that I do believe that Carney is the better person for the job in the current state and currently I still believe that. I do not necessary believe that the crop of Liberals standing next to Carney is necessarily the best group as well - in fact I think that he's above and beyond them.

Now, in the first 45mins that I've watched I have said that he's come across much better than any time that I've seen him before and for me, that's a very good thing. I can appreciate him more and will look to put the effort in to understand more of what he's trying to say. But, between him and Carney as a PM, Carney still currently comes out ahead. That doesn't now necessarily mean that I think Carney's band of merry men is a better band of merry men than Pierre's.

Dude. An opinion at odds with yours is not a sign of a failing in the person who holds that opinion.

Constant reversion to ad hominem attacks does little to advance your argument, and calls into question the strength of your own opinion

The other issue I have is the difference standards of criticism many people here have CPC vs LPC.

Is the standards used to measure the CPC and Pierre specifically are way higher than the low bar standards used to measure Mark Carney and the LPC.

95% of what we offer up here is opinions. I get that. I have no issue with difference of opinions.

I understand you see yourself as some sort of sheep dog on these forums.

But chasing around @ArmyRick salivating at the opportunity to disagree with him and flex your own intellectual muscle is an unhealthy lifestyle choice.
