Joe Rogan and Pierre Poilievre interview

The CPC had a leadership review at end January. The Party claims 95% participation from party members. Pierre garnered 87.4% of that vote. I'll take those numbers over individual opinion.
Good start re: cred, but the problem is that more than JUST the party members/faithful vote. I'm interested to see if the new look/feel (good so far) continues outside of longer-form podcasts & interviews.

Party membership is self-selected.

Politicians first have to win the party.

Then they have to win a general.

Every potentially great statesman has to first be a competent campaigner. Not many competent, let alone brilliant, campaigners have the potential to be great statesmen; many don't even manage to leave things at least as good as they found them.

OK, so if Pierre gets the heave ho,

Then who gets selected. FFS please don't say Rona AMbrose, she has said on multiple occasions she is not returning to politics.

Whoever it is, had better be bilingual, have an ECONOMIC platform (That is always the conservative strength) that enables the country to grow forward, and paying down our debts. Pierre has an excellent plan and to be honest, he has put forward many excellent proposals even recently but the Carney Liberals keep playing partisan and not going along with them.

I asked a few how Pierre should have pivoted last election and they couldn't say. That is like telling someone to get better at their sport without explaining HOW they need to do it. Armchair quarterbacking at its finest.

So who should lead? Some names anyone? What policies should they run on? If you suggest red tory nonsense you will have LPC rule indefinitely

he should have wrapped himself in the flag like Ford did.

depends if the CPC wants to win elections or be the NDP of the right

The Liberal tactic to win elections is to create fear of not voting them, make lofty promises, disparage the opposition and spread rumours and innuendos about others who don't agree with you.

It works I suspect because the hard core Liberal base doesn't give a damn and its all about wearing the red jersey.

The Conservatives have to win by making promises of hope, showing better paths forward and to some extent letting the liberals fumble over and over again. If the conservatives tried to campaign like the liberals, they would get eaten alive. Even by their own base.

We shall see where this all lands for Pierre and the CPC, I am quite sure Mark Slapinski is full of crap. If the CPC choose to remove Pierre, then so be it (at least the Conservatives retain that democratic policy unlike the Liberals and the NDP), we move forward, hopefully for the best.

well the CPC can keep doing whatever they are doing. They're 0-4
On floor crossers? Yeah so? ALL of these floor crossers look terrible and will probably get lynched in their ridings. You haven't noticed that floor crossings happen at a time the liberals are about to look really bad? There is a reason for that. Minister Champagne got caught lying about recusing himself and low and behold everyone is focused on another floor crossing.

Do you support the Liberals, yes or no? If you do, then your happy. But the pleasure you enjoy now will come at the price of pain later.

If you don't, then don't let a few bumps and scrapes discourage you. Or are you a green or NDP supporter?

Actually, I told you to look at the all of the myriad of criticisms and alternatives that were brought forward before and during the loss.
Many of them were very generic, a few were specific but if you lean to what Carney already offers, then we would have seen a Liberal CLEAR majority.

Pierre increased the seat count by 24 seats inspite of not winning the last election (see what I did there?)
