LCBO theft

Like the title says, report on LCBO theft readers may, or may not, find of interest,

This is also a excellent case study of how not to handle the media. The last employee at the cash register did a far better job than the manager.

I know a lot of people don't like Rebel News, but this is still good Journalism and doing what they are supposed to do, disrupting the easy way of doing things and making sure both the LCBO and Police management do their jobs.
 
The solution was to pay security to man a booth and check ID before you got in.

We had the same issue in Winnipeg and Manitoba. The solution was to pay security to man a booth and check ID before you got in. Like going to the USA...kinda
Same here in Ontario, with pilot projects in Thunder Bay, Kenora and Sioux Lookout ....
... until they didn't anymore, cancelling it the day after it was announced.
 
Well, their policies are that their staff are not allowed to intervene in a theft. From what I understand, it many cases they won't even bother to report it to the police.
