A 38-year-old man is facing more than 150 charges in connection with 72 break-ins across Brampton and Mississauga, Peel Regional Police say.
The spree of break-ins happened from April through September,
police said in a release on Thursday, with the alleged crimes occurring at commercial and office buildings.
Daniel Irvine, of no fixed address, is facing 157 charges, including 30 counts of break, enter and commit indictable offence and 50 counts of bench warrants for break and enter related charges.
Const. Tyler Bell-Morena confirmed to CTV News Toronto that Irvine was previously arrested in June after
several offices and commercial buildings were broken into in Brampton. These incidents occurred from February to May.
“He was released on bail by the courts then and has been released again,” Bell-Morena said, adding Irvine is also a suspect for “numerous” break-ins in Halton and York regions.
