Although they had no problem with the Canadian taxpayer funding Trans Mountain.
I fully expect the government of Alberta to want to rename it to remove the word "Trans".

You are kidding, right?Who would you say is actually doing that here? Several of us have said ‘no thanks, CPC, offer us a better option’, but you’re alleging a level of histrionics that I don’t think actually exists on this site.
Its sounding like upgraded rail, an all season road, power transmission, pipeline and port infrastructure with icebreaking and critical mineral storage. Thats the word ive been seeing in local media. That said nothing is set or concrete. Just ideas at this point. If that happens in conjunction with the Centreport Free Trade Zone in Rosser/Winnipeg, Manitoba could really reclaim its past glory as a continental shipping hub.was there any mention of a pipeline?
Listen...Norway has a sales tax.
I have been informed that I should not speak on this topic.I fully expect the government of Alberta to want to rename it to remove the word "Trans".
and they will need more than 2 heavy icebreakers so Davies (Quebec vote) and Seaspan (BC support) will be extremely busyIts sounding like upgraded rail, an all season road, power transmission, pipeline and port infrastructure with icebreaking. Say what you will about Wab, he has vision.
No, but you’re deflecting. Who on army.ca is “just losing it over Pierre Poilievre existence”?You are kidding, right?
Interesting timses ahead. Navy folk, if shipping lanes were kept open year round for commercial activity anyways, would it become useful as an Arctic naval station?and they will need more than 2 heavy icebreakers so Davies (Quebec vote) and Seaspan (BC support) will be extremely busy
That would certainly drop the Navy a few rungs as the branch with the best postings.Interesting timses ahead. Navy folk, if shipping lanes were kept open year round for commercial activity anyways, would it become useful as an Arctic naval station?

Lots of talk on here previously about the port and channel being a bit shallow and prone to the need for dredging.Interesting timses ahead. Navy folk, if shipping lanes were kept open year round for commercial activity anyways, would it become useful as an Arctic naval station?

Who didn’t vote?Budget passed 170-168
Carefully calculated for maximum political points eh?Budget passed 170-168
generoux, another CPC type who apparently had a sick note and 2 NDP.Who didn’t vote?
Not sure to be honest, I did see 1 Ndper didn’t for sure. I was watching the French language version so I was getting only about 40-50% of what was going on, lol.Who didn’t vote?
Submarine maintenance is like air maintenance on steroids. Two of four in service at the same time is remarkable. Hence why a dozen will normally have four or five available.Unless I'm mistaken, aren't we only running 2 our of 4 submarines currently?
Also they're saying the submarine shop, I think Korean, could pump one out by 2035. Why would it take 10 years to make 1 sub? Does that mean we we would get the 12th sub by year 2145?
The fact korea is pumping out one a year should be commended on its own. This is on top of domestic orders as well which likely means simultaneously buildingSubmarine maintenance is like air maintenance on steroids. Two of four in service at the same time is remarkable. For purchases of new submarines, it's not like there's Crazy Olaf's House of Submarines telling RAdm Robinson to put it in H. There are very few yards with the ability to build submarines, and their production is spoken for years in advance.

I checked and you’re right. Jeneroux not voting is a bit of a middle finger to his party. I’ve seen a mention on Twitter that Stubbs was medical. Two NDP abstained as well.generoux, another CPC type who apparently had a sick note and 2 NDP.
I think.
