Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

PP should pull a John Rustad for the good of the CPC. He is never going to form government. The Ottawa media hate him and that's all most Cdns hear through the MSM.

God (any God) could be the CPC leader and the MSM would have a slug fest to belittle him/her.

The NDP will grow only when all those Unionized workers leave the Conservative Party under PP and move back to their traditional home.
The Conservatives will be only left with the bitter, discontent, disaffected and religious fringe.

Disagree, that's not who the NDP represents or wants to reflect anymore.

They are the party of the urban, white collar, elite, self righteous and woke.

As the LPC continues on its starboard turn they will shed those members and voters.

Probably. There are those on the left who won't forgive Carney.

But when you consider how many CPC MPs feel comfortable leaving the CPC to join Carney, how many CPC voters are as well?

The middle in Canadian politics is a far bigger pool of voters than the fringes.

It is like the middle is the largest section of the Canadian political spectrum and represents the mainstream of Canadian political tendencies.

So obviously any media that caters to the largest market must be, by its very nature, evil, untrustworthy, and anti-democratic.

I don’t know a single white collar, ‘elite’ (whatever that means) here in the GTA who has voted for the NDP or would even consider voting for the NDP.

2? A disgruntled opportunist who failed to secure influence, advancement, or relevance within their own party and chose proximity to power over principle, and, a low-profile MP with minimal caucus impact who represents a riding that was already structurally favourable to the Liberals and was going Liberal in the next election regardless.

These switchs required little courage, carried minimal electoral risk, and are more about career preservation.

There are more than two.

Bob Fife currently knows of at least a half dozen more who are wavering. It just takes a lot of intestinal fortitude to make the move, especially with the death threats and the party threatening to dig up dirt on you if they make the move.

From what journalists are describing, there are those who love PP and his theatrics like the vote on the pipeline trying to cause division in the LPC and those who want to actually get stuff done, work with the LPC and the government of Alberta to get projects like pipelines done, and stop playing games. Especially when we are in a trade war with the USA.

It's those in the latter group who are looking at the LPC and thinking maybe they would be more comfortable there.

And if MPs, who face public scrutiny and death threats for leaving the CPC, are considering it, what about the average voter, who faces none of these things? Far easier for them to switch. Don't think for a second that the CPC is entitled to their votes.

Ma made significantly more money in his working career than he does as an MP
That's cool. I turned down an offer to make more money doing an easier job as a Nuclear Security Officer a couple years ago. Careers aren't always about money.
