I can’t wait for the class action for proper payment. You can’t prohibit or expropriate property without reasonable payment provided. Considering lots of it they just say tough (like AR-15 uppers) they will be sued.

We paid slave owners when slavery ended, this isn’t a thing you can just declare they will not pay out on.

The government knows the name and address of everyone owning a registered restricted rifle. If they don't voluntarily turn in their registered firearms by October 26 they will be illegally in possession of prohibited guns and could face having all their firearms seized and whatever criminal punishment.

Edit - and just because you submit an application and let the government know what you have it doesn't mean you're guaranteed compensation. First come first serve so hurry up.

Sure they can. Items often become illegal to possess after they emerge on the market. "Pepper spray" was prohibited for human self defence in 1998, long after it appeared on the market. Expropriation only applies to real property (land and fixed assets) in Canada.

Yeah so if they want faster, they need a new production line, combined with Global eye, we are talking 13,000 high to medium skill jobs in Canada not to mention a cut for the canadian government for any Gripen sales built in canada

Its going to a hard sale to turn down.
