The East gloats over their victories, and thumbs their noses at the concerns of the West.

I've lived decades in each of the East and the West. Where you go wrong is thinking that anyone in the East actually thinks or cares about folks in the West. They neither gloat nor thumb their noses. They may bitch about the price of gas being high is the West's fault, but that's it.

The cynical saying in Toronto was that there is nothing north of the 401.
