Liberal (Minority/Majority) Government 2025 - ???

72k/yr for 37$/hr at 37.5hrs/week for 52 weeks.
How much training, what qualifications and age requirements are there for this role?

72k/yr is pretty decent money overall. That’s much higher than a lot of entry level jobs that require a uni degree.

I've never agreed with the idea that a person's value should be measured by their education. To me, that's a flawed metric.

I care far more about what someone contributes to society. The person collecting my garbage provides a service I rely on every week and is, in many ways, more important to my daily life than most degree holders. Yet those essential workers are often significantly underpaid.

CAF pay rates enter the room

Very respectfully, we have learned time and again that this job carries significant risks, both during peacetime and in conflict. If we want people to serve in these roles, their compensation must reflect the realities of the profession.

I couldn't agree more. I was OCTP, and made it to LCol before I got a "degree"....in 8 months by correspondence, which says everything one needs to hear about a piece of paper vs an actual education, as well as the institution that issued the "degree"....RMC

I was offering a comparator to point out how well compensated the CAF is, especially after the massive raise.
