Because if you ignore the public you end up like Trudeau or Poilievre.Should we buy our fighter jets based on what the population wants?
Espeically when 44% of said population was somehow unaware the government was releasing a budget?
Again, Carney didn't need to make a deal with China.
But there was a business case and it's what the population wanted.
Lo and behold, he did exactly that.
Carney has done a decent job of doing what the voters in polls say they want, and 72 percent of the public wanting the Gripen is a hard number to ignore
