And how many CPC member tubthump for the Republicans?
Is there evidence of CPC MPs campaigning in the USA for Republicans ?

And how many CPC member tubthump for the Republicans?
Is that a rhetorical question? If there are any, by all means feel free to name them and link us to a source. And how many CPC member tubthump for the Republicans?
That is a completely irrelevant question - but it is on brand for this thread, which is rampant with whataboutism, from every conceivable direction. And how many CPC member tubthump for the Republicans?
NOT a good look - especially with the English & French posts on his FB account. American Congress members coming up here to help campaigns would be looked at askance, so same here.
Wonder if anyone from Team Red Central had any level of approval or OK on this? If so, they're dumb too. If not, let's see what happens now that more and more people know.
. . . The Commission concludes that Canadian citizens may provide volunteer services to your campaign. Furthermore, you may use campaign funds and personal funds to obtain information from Canadian citizens, and to travel to Canada to observe third party election operations. You may also use campaign funds to hire Canadian citizens as members of your campaign staff. Your authorized committee may not accept election materials used in previous Canadian campaigns that are provided without charge by Canadian third party candidates, but you may use campaign funds and personal funds to purchase such materials. . . .
“Liberal politicians like Mark Carney and Doug Ford”, last time I checked Doug is Conservative . Some might even call him maple maga.View attachment 101898
Sounds like he is now a punching bag, and I get the feeling his days might be numbered with the CPC
To the Reform leaning CPC, a progressive conservative might as well be a Liberal.“Liberal politicians like Mark Carney and Doug Ford”, last time I checked Doug is Conservative . Some might even call him maple maga.

In another world, say, one in which Stephen Harper was leader of the Conservatives and not the wounded duck that is Mr. Poilievre, Mr. Jivani would have long ago been handed his hat and told to take a hike. Not only is he an embarrassment to his party, he is increasingly a menace to the country.
He has become an unapologetic shill for a corrupt and vulgar U.S. administration intent on owning this country – a walking billboard for the benign, unseemly acquiescence it demands from Canada and the rest of the world.
Mr. Jivani suggests the dollar-for-dollar trade threat of Mr. Carney’s is an overreaction. Does he not recall his party’s own platform in last year’s election? The Conservatives ran on imposing dollar-for-dollar retaliatory tariffs “maximizing impact” on American companies.
He may think that what he’s saying is smart and calculated to appeal to that pro-MAGA wing of his party that he will need if he hopes to ascend to its leadership one day, which is clearly his ambition.
But even if he does one day supplant Mr. Poilievre, he will never lead his party to victory. Canadians will never forget which side he was on when the country faced its greatest crisis in decades.
And it wasn’t Canada’s.

Opinion: What is Jamil Jivani’s deal?
The Ontario MP is not just an embarrassment to his party, he’s increasingly a menace to the countrywww.theglobeandmail.com
And Trudeau is gone, thank you Pierre. Hey remember in 2024 when you were absolutely sure Trudeau would fight another election? Go back and read your own comments.I said during Trudeau's first term that the worst thing the CPC could do was put an attack dog like PP as their leader, and here we are.
If the grand heights of the aspirations of the CPC and PP were to turf Trudeau, congratulations to them. And Trudeau is gone, thank you Pierre. Hey remember in 2024 when you were absolutely sure Trudeau would fight another election? Go back and read your own comments.
Seems to me that one needs reform party roots to rise up in the CPC.![]()

I wish the CPC the best of luck if the membership select Mr Jivani as their next leader after Poilievre.
But I do not put it past their membership to do that.

My take (for what narrow a view it is) is many of the "red tory" faction want a softer or more left leaning version of the tories. This guy has a track record of being unquestioningly a ultra-hard-anti-Red Team Blue fan, and if he says something's gotta give, maybe more people should listen.

Spencer Fernando: The Conservatives still don’t understand what’s happening

Mind you, some may find him not quite Blue enough these days, so YMMV - from the piece ....

Poilievre and his Reform Party faction that came to dominate the CPC are not really aligned with what we’ve considered ‘Tories’; to try to characterize them as such isn’t accurate. They absorbed the Progressive Conservatives, and then shifted away from that alignment. That’s left a vacuum that Carney has deftly slipped the LPC into, albeit at the cost of increasingly leaving a corresponding vacuum on the left.My take (for what narrow a view it is) is many of the "red tory" faction want a softer or more left leaning version of the tories.
Why?
When Tories try to be more liberals, they hand the Libs another easy election victory. Another reminder, the last election was a hairline victory for Carney Liberals and Pierre still managed to increase CPC seat count by 20 seats. Not enough to take the crown.
Now some here will cheer on the idea of Tory leader being a "red tory", I suspect many of them just want to see the CPC stay in opposition.
I will be sharing an interview with David Colletto of Abacus pollinng who offers insight. He was one of the most accurate pollsters last election. Wait out.
