Liberal (Minority/Majority) Government 2025 - ???

I don't see it. I see long-term, passive asset-holding investors being the type to own an airport, like pension funds. The likes of Rogers like to both own things and run things.

I don't know anything about them, but here are the owners of London Heathrow (Heathrow Airport Holdings Ltd.)

Looks like one of the criticisms of that model is the risk of increased fares for fliers due to the need to generate returns for investors.

Yeah, I haven’t heard good things about where this happened elsewhere. Usually, privatized airports = higher airfares.

goes without saying. If the current owners are making X dollars within the current structure they are going to rent out the facility for at least X otherwise there is no advantage to the change. The lessor therefore has to charge X + to make a profit. So all the tenants within the property have to come up with the difference. We are screwed again.

Another backer of the DSRB is in the works.

This might signal that the similar Multilateral Defence Mechanism (UK, Netherlands, Finland, and Poland) may be dead in the water. So more might be hop on the DSRB train in the coming months, and I'm betting the Netherlands is next.
