It's a TP (Target Practice) round for sure. The TPDS-T (Target Practice Discarding Practice-Tracer) C36A3 round was used to duplicate the performance of a APDS-T (Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot-Tracer) round with cheaper components (no tungsten penetrator). It would match an APDS-T out to around 1800m.
Yours says C36A2. There should not have been much of a design difference between the A2 and A3 to make it go from straight TP to TPDS but stranger things have happened.
