Sure…just a regular January night in Vancouver with Canada’s next PM rubbing shoulders with China’s United Front Work Department operative Fu Binqing.Sam Cooper on Mark Carney's support.

Mark Carney, Beijing's United Front, and the Battle for Richmond
United Front operatives were seen mobilizing support for Carney and Parm Bains in Richmond, while Kenny Chiu faces attacks citing the Hogue Commission’s report.www.thebureau.news
Every time I didn't have my voter card actually, which is a few. And once or twice with the voting card.
I will vote for whomever I figure is going to be the biggest loser and right now it is a tossup. I suspect but I have no proof that Carney has a whole closet full of dirty linen that the CPC is sitting on and there will be a lot of surprises come election time if he is selected. For Freeland, what we see is what we get. We know what she representsThat Freeland was the victim of foreign interference, and Carney was palling around with United Front-connected individuals and organizations has me rooting for Freeland for the leadership.
"Something that my government is going to do is to use all of the powers of the federal government, including the emergency powers of the federal government, to accelerate the major projects that we need in order to build this economy and take on the Americans," he said.
Maybe morons is slightly harsh...Then you’re saying that all the aggregate polling since last summer showing the CPC leading has been tapping said pool of morons?
you should forward this to Rebel News. Its too good a rant to waste. BravoMaybe morons is slightly harsh...
I say, generally speaking & painting with broad strokes (which is never a good idea, I know) that Canadians, just as a generalization, tend to be a confusing bunch when it comes to their federal politics...
Trudeau & Freeland have taken very effective steps towards destroying the country we've all grown up in, love, and have served.
They have done things that go against what we could consider universally accepted Canadian values, and they've accomplished those things using subversive tactics, lies, buying the loyalty of the mainstream media to look the other way, or by boldly stating they just aren't going to tell the public the results of public inquiries. (Who are those 11 MP's again?)
They've had a new scandal basically every single day (if not every day than every week) each of which would have had any previous PM running a serious risk of being forced to step down.
They only reason they are still in power is because we have a Governor General who refuses to do her job, are being supported by the greedy & selfish leader of the NDP who sold his soul for his pension, and because our parliament has been suspended for a few months while the LPC decide who their new party leader will be...
Whether its the $330 million that corrupt MP's stole from the 'Green Slush Fund' (none of that money has been returned yet btw, as far as I know - and not a single MP charged or even disciplined) or the $100M+ spent purchasing 0 guns in the gun buyback program, or the more than doubling of our national debt despite them hiking taxes & introducing new taxes...
Or the internet censorship legislation the government blatantly lied about the nature of, lied to the public AND parliament about, and quietly stick-handled through the Senate BEFORE it went to the House of Commons (where he prevented a fair vote by bribing the NDP for their blind support in all things he wants to do)
Or the fact that the courts have ruled his invocation of emergency powers was illegal (which he knew at the time, which is why he canceled the emergency powers the day prior to the court review) yet is still using public funds to essentially politically persecute Tamara Lych and Chris Barber after the longest mischief trial of all time...
Or self-appointing close family friends to 'investigate' his wrongdoings where, shockingly, he was found to have done nothing wrong...
We all know that the examples given above are the mere tip of an incredibly deep ice berg. And yet there are still people out there who would vote for him if an election were held tomorrow. It is those people who I'm referring to as morons
He has destroyed the strong & healthy economy he inherited from Harper. He's destroyed our international reputation and credibility. He capitalized on a genocide that never happened for political gain. He's driven foreign investment away from Canada, and has presided over Canada having the lowest productivity in its history...
He tried to sole-source a large sum of money to a charity his family controls, and that his family openly launders money through. ($300k to his mother for each public speaking engagement she does? How many people here have seen her speak somewhere? Anybody?)
He got caught accepting money from PLA-connected Chinese sources through the Trudeau Foundation.
He molested at least one of his students while he was a teacher & then pressured her & her mother to sign an NDA...
We now have large tent cities all across the country.
He decriminalized and pushed hard drugs into a region that was already devastated because of a drug-use epidemic (by offering doctor-prescribed safe supply he hoped to profit off of the out of control drug addiction crisis)
And we don't even know how many people are in the country because they lost count of how many people were coming in, and didn't even bother to keep track of temporary foreign workers...
Oh yeah, and during this period of unprecedented immigration he also decided to stop doing thorough background checks on people coming into the country...hence terrorists plotting attacks both here and in the US, one of which even turned out to be an ISIS fighter who filmed himself torturing someone.
...
Anyways, I didn't mean to go on a rant here. I started out just trying to paint a general picture. (I get fired up pretty easily when I start brainstorming all of the blatant corruption that's become so commonplace)
My ultimate point though was that there are still people around who would vote for this clown again if there was an election tomorrow - while completely refusing to even give PP a chance
That people would still vote for a blatantly corrupt scumbag rather than give another candidate a chance just due to loyalty to a political party that doesn't share that feeling of loyalty back is mind boggling to me
My 2 cents
Like or not, Ontario is required to win.
Ok I'll take a stab at it.Before anymore of you Anything but Conservative crowd pipe up, I challenge you to address these issues and who is best suited for it
-Economy
-Trade
-Security
-Defence
-Housing
-Natural Resources
-Justice
-Law Enforcement
-Foreign Interference (Government and Election)
I tip my hat to you, @Lumber I asked what people thought on these issues and yo stepped up with what you see. Thank you.Ok I'll take a stab at it.
Two things first:
1. I'm not necessarily a liberal voter. I haven't voted liberal in any election since 2015.
2. I see the CPC in general, but more specifically PP as populist, meaning they will do more of what LOOKS good for invidividual Canadians in the short term, regardless of the long term effect, whereas the LPC is more willing to look at things from a cosmopolitan and long term perspective.
Econony and Trade: LPC. PP and the CPC are trending "populist" and populism leans toward isolationism which is not good for economic growth. To truly grow in the modern age requires tapping into and becoming intwined with the international market even if that means some local industries suffer. Honestly, the only real liberal fumble over the last decade that has me irate is their unwillingness to at least TRY and unlock our LNG potential in the international market.
Security and Defence. It's a toss up. Both parties talk a big game but both parties treatdefence like a flagship without a fleet, only truly supporting it when it looks good politically but ignoring it when it doesn't. I would lean toward the LPC for two reasons: 1. because they have seemed to get us more involved in international missions, which builds both experience and builds relationships, and 2. Because it was the CPC that ordered those God awful AOPVs.
Housing: neither, sort of. Housing is a provincial issue and I don't believe either party can truly help. However, housing availability has been significantly affected by immigration, which saw explosive growth under the LPC. The Libs seem to have learned their lesson in that regars, so a few months ago I would have said CPC, but as long as the LPC doesn't change their tune, I dont see the CPC doing any better on this front. In fact, since the LPC is more concerned with social welfare, I could see the LPC doing a better job of creating programs that find people "homes" even if that doesn't necessarily mean "housing" growth.
Natural resources. LPC, but only from a certain point of view. Both economic growth and the exploitation of natural resources should not be treated like a soulless mega corporation, where there are no ethics other than maximizing shareholder value. Instead, you need to balance economic growth with the long term health of the country, it's people, and our environment. The liberals talk like they are Green-faced but deep down the majority of them want to drill drill drill (there are exceptions like that weasel Guilbeaut), but for the most part I believe the LPC will do a better job balancing thee need for growth our responsibility to safeguard the environment for our future.
Justice: LPC. I believe in restorative justice and fighting against the route causes of crime, whereas the populist approach is just more cops and harsher punishment.
Law enforcement: Well, the LPC executed a reasonable and limited use of the EA in order to restore law and order, so, them. Come at me.
Foreign Interference: neither. Both parties will talk a big game, but in the end both will look at what 'politcal' effect their reactions might be to FI and will do what's best for them and not for the country.
Good.
Has he explained exactly how he's going to do this? Because every other Liberal is saying the same thing, and they haven't quite been able to do it in the last 10 years. It kind of feels like an empty promise to get votes.Carney speaking on defense
Mark Carney is aiming for 2030 at the latest for Canada to reach NATO’s 2% of GDP defence spending benchmark.
Not in this press conference, what he did say was he would only accelerate that timeline if the value was there for tax payers, and that we can't just waste tax payer dollars chasing 2% without a plan.Has he explained exactly how he's going to do this? Koolaid sure comes in a lot of flavours these daysCarney is starting to grow on me. From some of the comments he's made recently while out stumping to his responses to the #47 assault on our country.
I really liked where he said once he's anointed PM, he would consider holding off an election if the US tariff threat was still looming. He also said he'd utilize emergency measures to grow our economy.
I'm starting to think with Carney at the helm, the outcome would be the most advantageous for the west and positive for Canada.
Yeah. Not exactly his fault if we just can't spend it. Has the hinted at the plan anywhere else? Or is it a trust me thing. Not in this press conference, what he did say was he would only accelerate that timeline if the value was there for tax payers, and that we can't just waste tax payer dollars chasing 2% without a plan.
Getting called out by the Supreme Court for violating Canadians charter rights is a good thing. It proves the system is working. Kudos to the LPC for that.He also said he'd utilize emergency measures to grow our economy.
