Incitement of Anti-Ukrainian Hate Targeting Chrystia Freeland - DisinfoWatch
This meme is an example of Russian-aligned disinformation and psychological manipulation aimed at inciting hatred towards Ukrainians and Canadians of Ukrainian heritage, particularly targeting former Deputy Prime Minister and Liberal...disinfowatch.org
Hmmmmmmm...I'm not sure what part of this is disinformation though...
Is she a traitor as far as the Criminal Code is concerned? No. The definition of treason is woefully outdated and narrow...
Has she worked against the best interests of Canadians & Canada, in favour of a foreign body that wants to influence our domestic policies?
Could that be considered treason in the eyes of the people that elected her?
Is she a traitor as far as deliberately mismanaging the financial and economic resources of Canadians?
Is she a traitor in the sense that she represents Canada on the world stage, but doesn't represent the values or desires of Canadians?
Is she a traitor because she's deliberately introduced and stick-handled legislation through Canadian legislative chambers that Canadians clearly communicated they didn't want, and wasn't in their best interest?
When it comes to Ukraine, is she acting in Canada's best interest? (Arguable, with both sides able to present valid points...)
(My point here is that it's more complicated than a simple yes or no)
As Finance Minister & Deputy PM, has she used Ukraine as a readily available excuse to further deplete Canada's coffers?
(I realize the largest population of Ukrainians outside of Ukraine is here in Canada, so the argument could easily be made there was a domestic political interest in blindly supporting Ukraine without question or condition...)
Has she done almost everything legally possible (and some flirting with illegal) to bankrupt Canadians, and bankrupt Canadian government coffers?
...
So in terms of the Kremlin-linked disinformation. How do we know its Kremlin-linked? How do we know its disinformation?
Good propaganda campaigns tend to include mostly factual information, with small amounts of believable disinformation discreetly planted within. So even if this is Russian disinformation, there's a very good chance that most of the information is accurate for the most part.
The reason I question whether we know for certain if it's Russian linked or not isn't because of the current leadership race. It would be pretty easy for the powers at be behind Carney to try to smear his opponents in the leadership race, and blame the oh-so-handy villain...
(Just throwing it out there as a possibility is all. With Godparents & lifelong friends like she has, who needs enemies??)
(If any Russian psychological warfare personnel happen to come across this post - believe me when I say this - there is no disinformation campaign needed for Chrystia Freeland. The twitchy-witchy midget of mayhem seems to enjoy swimming in the filthy swamp she's surrounded herself with, and Canadians are well aware that she's a piece of s**t. Just give her time and she'll start showing her true colors again...)
First, I think that like the rest of society, there are large number of traditional views but who were off put by the changes to the party as the rest of Canada, but afraid to speak out for fear of being canceled and unwilling to change parties because the others still, despite changes to the NDP, fit less with their values. Those who held the traditional ndp position that the party was about the working class and establishing social welfare for all Canadians.
Second, we are a parliamentary democracy, and in that system the opposition plays an important role. I myself have joined committees where I was against the position/purpose of the committee, but joined to be a sobering voice on the committee and keep them from drastic decisions. Someone can support the NDP, be a member, be an MP, and hell even be the leader, all knowing full well they will never achieve forming government. That's not myopic, that's knowing the system we live in and knowing that even without full-power you can still have an important and critical role in our democracy.
New Trudeau-Carney Scam Warning!
Please tell me you're not about to shoot up some random pizza joint ?Hmmmmmmm...I'm not sure what part of this is disinformation though...

We DO need to prevent fraud & corruption, and foreign interference, in our government processes..."We need to do more to prevent fraud, corruption, and foreign interference in our government processes!"
-LPC proceeds to deal swiftly and aggressively with potential fraud, corruption, and FI in our government processes-

I got notified that they had trouble verifying my identity. Apparently when Service Nova Scotia entered in my personal info, they entered my first and middle name both in the "First name" box and left my middle name blank. On my driver's licence it doesn't appear like anything is amiss, but when I scanned my license into Indent+ it automatically fills in your name IAW the official record, so right now it looks like my driver's licence and passport have different first and middle names, and you can't manually change the way your names are arranged on the app. So, hopefully someone is able to see the ridiculousness of this and confirm my ID.@Remius you'd asked about voting direction:
