Actually the two bottom pouches are the size of the
C-9 ammo box. They are attached to the vest by fastex buckles and can be placed so that the pouch can opened to the top or to the front. The whole vest is overly adjustable and fits very snuggly to the body. The bayonet can go in two places to my knowledge, on the front in the middle, handle up or down, and across the small of the back, handle left or right. The back is bare except for daisy chain for attaching one or two of the pouches not unlike the attachable pouches of the Brits‘ bergans that will accompany the issue of the small patrol pack 2 big, 2 small I forgot to mention that there are also two small pouches at the very front of the vest, probably suitable to hold 2 or 3 40mm grenades each.
Cheers.
