Hi. I was born with a kidney malformation which is not uncommon in today's world and a very easy fix with no consequences afterwards, however, it took a long time for it to be detected in my case and has cause some damage due to kidney infections. The problem has been fixed but I have 1 kidney that works at 25% and the other at 75%. I am not followed by a doctor, I have no medication to take and absolutely no restrictions at all and never had a problem again with my kidneys since I was very little. I heard that having just 1 kidney can prevent you from being accepted in the cf because if that 1 kidney quits then you are in trouble and if on deployment or out in the field it could lead to very serious problems quick due to lack of medical support. I was wondering if it would also apply to my case? I have seen a specialist a few years ago and he cleared me 100% to join the cf but would that be enough for the MO?
