Hey there, haven't posted for a while.
So I have started a novel/story and was wondering if anyone on here would be interested in reading it and giving me any sort of suggestions with respect to historical accuracy, etc., as well as accurately depicting how veterans are affected after they have "come back". The story is set in 1950, and the main character is a former soldier who is now a Corporal in the RCMP. However, several of the chapters are set during the Battle of Ortona in order to flesh out the main character as well as providing an essential plot device for later on. That's all I can really say without giving away the plot of it, but I'd really like to see what some of the real soldiers think of it. I have only written 16 pages so far and have kind of hit a wall, but some peoples input on here is hopefully just what I need to get motivated to keep going. So if anyone is interested, please reply here and I can either send it to you or figure out how to turn it into a .pdf and post it here.
Thanks,
