ok What happened to the Director? Was he tossed out a window (figuratively speaking) or was this a case of the PM not liking what he was told?

The PM did say he had concerns with how CSIS came to the conclusion there was foreign interference.

Or did the Director retire on his own accord with a big FU to the GoC?

David Vigneault retired in early July after seven years as director.


The new interim director has been an intelligence officer at CAIS since 1998. Needless to say, we don’t get to know much about her professional background.

Only Trudeau could say he was concerned that CSIS (an intelligence agency tasked with protecting Canadians and Canadian institutions from foreign espionage and interference) collected intelligence about foreign espionage and interference, and fed it up the GoC chain like they were supposed to...

With how shady Justin is, I'd be leary of my own spy agencies too
