The Army Software Support Team's MonitorMASS 'REO' module [Reserve Employment Opportunity] was auth for use, to publish REOs exclusively, by the NDHQ PRL [ref CANFORGEN 003/10] eff as of 10 Jan 2010.
The CLS just signed off on CANLANDGEN 010/10, mandating REO use by the LS/Army eff 1 Apr 10.
The short term implications of this, is that if your a Reg or Res mbr, outside of the Army and you want to apply for a posn published in REO, your HOME Unit [Chf Clerk] better have a MonitorMASS account with REO 'Manager' privilidges, so they can nominate you as a candidate. This is the only way to be nominated.
REO, like all ASST software, is specifically designed to reduce other redundant methodologies and get everyone singing from the same networked sheet of music.
Eventually, CMP will bless REO at the CF level [a few months away]; with that, the multitude of current [redundant in most cases] websites will 'fade to black'.
The other bonus of REO is that it publishes to both the intranet & internet; the latter giving those on the Supp Res, both visibility and a method to apply for REOs.
cheers... :gunner:
