Nice little Leafs game 1 win. I don’t think the Panthers saw that one coming. Game 2 will be tougher.

There's a concussion expert on X with some good breakdowns that the puck to mask likely started the concussion chain, and the Bennett hit was a double tap to make it worse. I didn't think someone puking from a concussion would be able to skate off like that, unreal.

Bennett will have to answer the bell next game. It was a greasy play.

Yeah so Stollarz was puking into a bucket on the Leafs bench before they took him out on a stretcher.

Watching the replay, there is zero reason for Bennett to be that close or make contact with Stollarz, so thre was a full intent to injure. I hope he's suspended.

Ofcourse, should that not happen....were I Berube... I'd have Reaves in the lineup for Game 2, let him make sure either Bobrovsky or Bennett will be out for the rest of the post-season, take the suspension ,and carry on.

Bennett won't fight Reevo, it's a size and skill mismatch. Laughton will go at him though, or Lorentz.

My issue now is this is a team culture of headshots. The Ekblad hit on Hagel was horrendous.

Bennet did the same to Knies a few years ago as well. Press should ask Marchand about Bennet behaviour now that they have to sit on the bench together.

There is a certain point where one wonders if you should be Bobby Clark-ing people for such behaviour. Double handed discipline, not a fight.

This is Sam Bennett, he most certainly won't. The Panthers continue their run as both league sweethearts and the dirtiest team in the East. There will be blood in Game 2 and if I was Florida, I wouldn't start Bob. Especially if Reaves is in the lineup.

I don’t like making Bobrovsky pay for Sam Bennett’s antics, but the Panther organization clearly condones his behaviour. Something must be done. If it isn’t going to be the League, then I guess it will have to be the Leafs. Because, he won’t stop. He will keep hurting other players.

It's crazy how having the AGM's Dad as the Head of Player Safety's boss helps prevent accountability for the dirtiness. And how the same relationship dates back to the AGM's playing days when his dad was the actual head of player safety. And it's crazy how the NHL tolerates the blatant conflict of interest, and has for decades now.

Reaves is a liability, he won't play. Plenty of other folks in Bennetts weight class on the current roster.
