Good day Everyone,
I've heard that it is possible as a Officer Cadet to do his Undergraduate in one of the two Military Universities in Germany.
Has anyone heard about something like that? If yes I would really apprechiated if somebody could post some information concerning that.
I know I could ask my Career Manager but I want to inform myself before asking him/her.

With regards,

Hamburg-Jung

Who told you that?  I presume you are asking about a subsidized program ... you can only apply for ROTP if you are physically present in Canada (or embassy staff or something like that) and it is only good for RMC or a Civy-U in Canada.  Of course if YOU are paying, you can go wherever you want and then apply as a DEO.  :cdn:

I'm currently employed as a REGF mbr. I was accepted at the Military University in Hamburg Germany because I live in Germany all my life and because I had the req to join the MILUN. Anyhow, Until they have figured out that I am a Canadian Citizen, I was no more entitled to go to that University - so my question is whether I could go back to that University as a mbr of the CF!
BTW I'm NCM. And I've heard that from a professor at the ASTICU Center in Ottawa/Hull who mentioned that there was a officer cadet who was preparing for his German Profile in order to attend the University in Germany.

I'm not really sure that I understand your question, because it seems to me that it is something that you should be asking the University itself and they've basically told you the answer is no(?)  There's another thread about RMC/Civy-U semester-long exchanges (to which I gather the answers are yes/no), if that helps ...

Okay, I will clearify my question a little more.
The CF offers mbr to attend University either at RMC (Kingston) or in a civilian University. What happens if the University is located in Germany? Anyway, when I did my german profile in Ottawa, I was told that there are officer cadets, who prepare themselves for the German Profile in order to study at the Military University in Germany. Basically it is RMC for Germans. So finally my main question(s) would be:
Has anyone heard of this type of program?
If yes, what is it called, what rank do I have to be?
What requirements are nec.?
Do I have to go over the Career Mgr in order to be entitled for that type of employment?

N.B.: I already contacted the Universitiy in Hamburg (Germany) and they mentioned that they have exchange officers from all NATO mbr, so I assume that they have cdn officers too.
RMC has never heard of something like that and it is pretty hard to talk to somebody that acctually has a clue. (RMC like... :)

Thanks, but I'm specifically interessted in the Federal Republik of Germany.
I know fore sure that there are exchange programs with other MILU, but I've never heard of one to the University in Hamburg for Canadian Soldiers.

If one did exist it would be through RMC, it is my understanding that you cannot do exchanges while in ROTP at a civi U
