I know for a fact that I was assigned as coach officer to the first female member posted to the small detachment in 1980 primarily because of the spouses of the qualified married members.

This would have been an excellent sub plot in Cardinal.Back in day when the RCMP had small (like, one member to maybe a dozen) detachments dotted across Ontario, rumour has it that the staffing at one were dispersed after it was discovered they were all wife swapping. New staff were brought in an a couple of years later, the same thing. Shortly after, the detachment was closed but it was around the time they were starting to close a lot of them anyway
Having seen the video, I will also say their story is bullshit.Things not looking too good in Minneapolis right now.
