Lauderhill police officer accused of taking over dead man’s home, using his identity in alleged scheme
A Lauderhill police officer was arrested Tuesday and is facing multiple criminal charges after investigators said he took possession of a deceased man’s home after responding to a welfare check, renovated the property and later used the dead man’s personal information to obtain a building permit.
