Lauderhill police officer accused of taking over dead man’s home, using his identity in alleged scheme
A Lauderhill police officer was arrested Tuesday and is facing multiple criminal charges after investigators said he took possession of a deceased man’s home after responding to a welfare check, renovated the property and later used the dead man’s personal information to obtain a building permit.

There seems to be no end to the depths this thread can go.
I recognize that not all police officers are corrupt or bad; however, I sometimes find myself wondering whether the good ones are in the majority or the minority. I understand that the news tends to focus on negative incidents, which can skew perceptions, but my views are also shaped by my own lived experiences and interactions with law enforcement officers.
Can’t remember if I said this already, but fire and criminally charge. I know they have to go through the BEI process and that’s fine, but there should be no world where this guy gets to keep his job and escape consequence if the allegations are remotely true.
