Pre-security and reliability and file closure

I was informed by recruiting that my application (with CFAT score) in Aug 2023 that Pre-Security / reliability screening was required and it could take 6-18 months.
Then my application was closed in Oct 2023 without any notification to me. That wasted nearly year and half from my potential career in the CAF. My question is whether there is any institutional recourse for this delay if I still were to pursue a career with Navy. Of course, if it won't affect my career in anyway, then I won't bother. I'd appreciate an insight by someone experienced in the CAF.

So you waited for 18 months without even bothering to check the portal once in that time?

No, you're not getting any money or recourse for the delay. There's any number of reasons for your file to be closed, although you should have gotten a notification. Recruiting center can tell you why it was initially closed.
