Alright I have all my paperwork filled out, I was just wondering if the "Preparing for your Interview" Form needed to be filled out and handed in with the rest of my application for part-time Infantry...

Thanks

The form doesn‘t have to be handed in. The questions on the form help you get ready for the interview. Some of the questions may be asked in the interview, but others not.

I‘m confused, my recruiter said that this form would help the interviewer get to know me better... did I miss something??

Like Ender57 said, the form is for you to fill out on your own and does not need to be handed in. It prepares you to answer some of the questions the interviewer will ask. That way when your asked a question, you‘ve had time to answer it correctly and with the best possible answer. The interviewer will get to know you better through the questions he/she will ask. Just use the form as a guideline

Something to consider about your interview and that prep paper is that they will not ask you those specific questions.

Some they will touch on one way or another, but others they will skip entirely. If you take the time to fill it out, you will realise that there is a lot of quality information about yourself that is going to go to waste if they skip some of the questions.

My tip would be to make sure you memorise as much of that form as you can, and when the interview is winding down, if you can think of anything that was missed you should bring it up.
Like any interview, they will ask "is there anything you would like to add?" or something to that effect, so it‘s a perfect opportunity to say "well during my interview preperation I had a few prepared answers in regards to my (positive attributes, work ethic, highschool math awards, etc) and I would like to recite them to you if I may."
Or something like that, you get the point.

Anyway, good luck on your interview.

I went through that process just a few weeks ago and you do not need to hand that "preparing for your interview" form in. It is simply a guidline to help you prepare. They will most likely ask you many of the questions on that sheet, so it‘s good to be prepared.

They will however ask you a lot more than just that. My interview lasted close to two hours and they had a lot of senarios that I had to put myself in, such as "what if you went to basic training and your roommate had a different sexual orientation then you, would you have a problem with this?"

or

"same questin, but what if he had a turbin on?"

and things about the equal rights of women such as

"would you have a problem if your instructor was yelling in your face......what if she was a woman"

things like that. The interview is not really the difficult part of the process. They ask a lot of questions that you can‘t really prepare for. They talked about my time spent in high school and university, they asked what I did on my spare time, my hobbies and things like that. They basically just want to get an idea of the type of person you are.

Don‘t worry too much about it. I‘m sure you will do fine!

LOL really? They made you hand it in? That‘s weird!

I would have thought that all recruiting centers would have followed the same policies!

Did you have it filled out and with you?

No I didn‘t...but guess what ...another guy came in while I was filling it out.. He had to fill his out too..

Let this be a lesson, I guess. You were the one who talked to recruiter, and only you know what he said. Don‘t take everything you read here as gospel, especially when you‘ve specifically been told to do something else.

Note to all:

Policy has just changed on the "prep" sheet. Too many pers are leaving St Jean due to the Military not being what they expected. They made the career choice for the wrong reason, usually because they ignored that "Prep" sheet. Each applicant required a different amount of information in order to make career choices, so if everyone has to complete the form, then the MCCs know you have researched alot before arrival and that your answers are not flying by the seat of your pants.

Although the questions are different from MCC to MCC and Ctr to Ctr, if you have answered all the questions then your answers in the interview will be based on what you have learned.

In Winnipeg we are not getting the applicants to hand in the form, just show it to the recruiter so they can make sure that you have worked through all of it. Other ctrs may be different.
